What we collect, and why

When you use the question form, we store:

• Your question — so we can research and answer it.
• Your email address — so we can send you the answer. Nothing else is sent to it unless you tick the separate updates box.
• Your first name, if you give it — only to address the reply. It is optional and the form works without it.
• The page you asked from and your language, so the reply is in the right language.
• A one-way hash of your IP address, used only to rate-limit abuse. The address itself is never stored.

What is published

Answers are published on this site so the next person with the same question can find them. The question is published; your name and email address never are, in any form.

If you would rather your question was not published at all, say so in the question itself and it will not be.

Who processes it

The question is researched using an AI model provided by Google, accessed through OpenRouter. Your email address and name are never sent to the model — only the question text.

Email is delivered by Villa Check In SL’s own sending infrastructure. Records are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure within the EU.

How long we keep it

Questions and answers are kept indefinitely, because they become part of the site. Your email address is kept for as long as you want updates, and otherwise for twelve months so we can follow up if the law changes on the point you asked about.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time for a copy of what we hold about you, or to delete it. Deleting your details does not remove a published answer, because it contains none of them. Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority — in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
