SES Hospedajes Guide

Lost with SES.Hospedajes?

If you let a property to guests in Spain, you are required to send their details to the Ministry of the Interior — for every booking, in every language, within 24 hours. The rules are clear enough once someone explains them. Almost nobody does.

This site explains them, in plain English, with the law cited next to every claim so you can check it yourself.

The short version

Who has to do it?
Anyone providing paid accommodation in Spain — including one-week-a-year owners letting through Airbnb or Booking.com.
By when?
Two deadlines: within 24 hours of the booking (or its cancellation), and within 24 hours of the stay starting.
Which guests?
All of them. Travellers aged 14 and over sign; under-14s still have their data submitted, provided by the adult with them.
What is the fine?
Filing late is a minor infraction: €100–600. Not filing at all is serious: €601–30,000. The €100,000+ figures you will see quoted are wrong.
Does Airbnb do it for me?
No. The platforms have their own reporting duty for their own data. Yours is unaffected by it.

Every one of these is disputed somewhere on the first page of Google. Each answer above is sourced on the page it links from.

Why this site exists

The official guidance is in Spanish, spread across PDFs, and written for people who already understand the system. The unofficial guidance is mostly marketing, and it contradicts itself — on the deadline, on the age threshold, on the size of the fines.

So this is a reference, not a sales page. Where the law is clear, it says so and cites the article. Where it is genuinely uncertain, it says that too.
