Do I register a local visitor who stays one night?

The law does not make exceptions based on the duration of the stay, the guest's place of residence, or their relationship to the main booking party (Real Decreto 933/2021, article 2.1).

This means that even if the person is a local resident, not part of the original booking, and only stays for one night, they are considered a "traveller or user of the accommodation service" for the purposes of the law and must be reported.

How to communicate this single-night stay

When you submit the guest details to SES.Hospedajes, you will need to include this person's information as an additional guest. You should report their arrival date as the night they stayed and their departure date as the following day. This will accurately reflect their single-night stay within the system. You have a strict 24-hour deadline from their arrival to submit their details (Real Decreto 933/2021, article 4.1).
